Lacey is co-founder and CEO of Akana Claims Management and serves as General Counsel for a fourth-generation family-owned trucking company. She is the proud co-founder of the company's in-house rapid response program, which laid the foundation for the principles and practices that eventually formed Akana.
Thomas Schulte
Co-Founder & Chief Claims Officer
Tom is a co-founder and Chief Claims Officer of Akana, bringing more than two decades of front-line experience defending motor carriers and transportation companies in complex, high-exposure litigation throughout the United States. He is also founder of Schulte Law Office, LLC, a transportation-focused litigation firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kyle Weaver
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Kyle's role at Akana is rooted in nearly a decade in the trenches of the trucking industry, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring clients' claims objectives are met through Akana's unique people, proven processes, and innovative products. Kyle also serves as Assistant General Counsel for a fourth-generation trucking company in Fort Worth, Texas.

Monica is a co-founder of Akana and serves as President of Empathic Adjusting, bringing over 30 years of experience in criminal defense, civil litigation, and independent claims adjusting. Her unique background in high-stakes investigations worldwide forms the foundation of her empathic approach to claims management at Akana.
